The Codacy Pioneers Fellowship is a program for people building great open source projects. The Pioneers will receive mentorship from top OSS developers, cash sponsorship in the form of $500 per month, tooling, and publicity for their projects.

We will consider anyone involved in open source as a maintainer, creator, or contributor. Your project can focus on any field including, but not limited to, software, hardware, firmware, design, and infrastructure projects. The project must be released publicly under a standard open-source license.

We are looking for open-source projects from passionate creators, who want to make a real impact on the world. We are excited to hear about what you believe makes your project special.

During the 12-month Codacy Pioneers Fellowship program, fellows will have access to:
  • One mentorship session with each mentor starting November 2023. Fellows will receive the program schedule upon joining.
  • Opportunity to follow up with each mentor after their session. Further communication with mentors are subject to each mentor’s availability.
  • Set up Codacy’s tools to gain insights on their code quality, line coverage, security and engineering performance, free of charge. Fellows are required to display their Quality Score on Github, Gitlab or Bitbucket.
  • Set up a sponsorship page on Github, if they don’t already have one. If for some reason this is not possible, we can evaluate alternative solutions during the selection process.
  • Participate in remote interviews every 3 months to report on progress, which will be recorded for a video series and other content to promote their projects (and the fellowship itself) in the developer community. By participating, Pioneers consent to Codacy using their image for online content.
  • A Slack community to network with all fellows and mentors, as well as Codacy’s team.

Click "Apply for a Spot." The application requires you to answer several short questions about your project. Pioneers will be selected no later than October 1, 2023.

Winners are announced at the beginning of October. The program runs for twelve months, until September 2024.
